Welcome to my website or—if this is a return visit—welcome back! I'm pleased to announce that my fourth novel, Circled Heart, is now available! If you enjoyed my first books, I know Circled Heart will continue to satisfy.

Circled Heart All my novels certainly stand alone—stories as individual as their heroines! At the same time, if you’ve read any or all of my earlier books, new novels will offer you the opportunity to reacquaint yourself with a few familiar characters and places.

Circled Heart introduces Johanna Swan, a young woman of spirit and sense, a Chicago heiress and suffragist and true city-girl—but whose family’s roots can be traced back through my earlier novels to the rich, black soil of rural Kansas. In fact, if you read my first book, Lily’s Sister, you might want to give it a quick reread before starting Circled Heart.

Circled Heart also brings back a peripheral but very popular character from Where Home Is: the charming but complicated man-about-town Drew Gallagher. Readers found Drew so engaging that it only seemed fair to give him his own story. You can learn more about my newest book by clicking on the Works link above.

I have a small but loyal fan base and thank you if you're among that number. If you're new to my writing, thank you for your interest. Find Circled Heart—and all my novels—at www.Amazon.com, www.BarnesandNoble.com, and other on-line retailers.

Look what people are saying about Karen!

“Karen J. Hasley…continues to impress with a sparkling new book. Where Home Is brings along the heart from Lily's Sister and Waiting for Hope to the story of Katherine Davis, a young doctor who has just graduated from Kansas Medical School. … [Where Home Is] could be a conventional love story, but not in Hasley's capable hands. … The conclusion is tear-inducing, but feels heartfelt, not manipulated, and the historical references are spot-on.”

Akron Beacon Journal, 1/4/09

Waiting for Hope, second in Cuyahoga Falls author Karen J. Hasley's Laramie Series, shows why this estimable author deserves a wider audience and a mainstream publisher.”

"Westerns aren't currently in vogue, but Cuyahoga Falls author Karen J. Hasley should be ready if Hollywood comes calling. Her Lily's Sister is a beautifully realized example of the genre, combining tense frontier action with strong characters and romance...."

"The archetypal plot turns won't surprise those who have seen High Noon, but Hasley's impeccable writing makes Lily's Sister a satisfying read from beginning to end."
