Welcome to my website or-if this is a return visit-welcome back! I'm pleased to announce that my third novel-Where Home Is-will be available to the public by Thanksgiving of 2008. If you have enjoyed my first books, I believe Where Home Is will continue to satisfy.

All three books of the Laramie Series certainly stand alone, stories as individual as their heroines. At the same time, if you have read either (or both!) of my first two books, you will have the opportunity to reacquaint yourself with some dear and familiar characters.

Where Home Is takes place 30 years after Louisa Caldecott met John Rock Davis in Lily's Sister and 5 years after Hope Birdwell stepped off the train in Laramie, Wyoming, to set in motion her own dramatic chain of events in Waiting for Hope. It's 1910. American women are agitating and are a decade away from obtaining the right to vote. The first World War looms darkly around the corner. Young Katherine Davis, M.D., is a reflection of those times of beckoning independence, wild economic growth, and unsettling change. She is her own woman. And Where Home Is is her own story.

I have a small but loyal fan base and thank you if you're among those numbers. If you're new to my writing, thank you for your interest. I'd love to hear from all of you once you've read Where Home Is.

"Westerns aren't currently in vogue, but Cuyahoga Falls author Karen J. Hasley should be ready if Hollywood comes calling. Her Lily's Sister is a beautifully realized example of the genre, combining tense frontier action with strong characters and romance...."

"The archetypal plot turns won't surprise those who have seen High Noon, but Hasley's impeccable writing makes Lily's Sister a satisfying read from beginning to end."
