Facebook Ad

I have an author’s Facebook page – in case you were wondering – and you can find it by putting ‘Karen J. Hasley, Author’ in the Facebook search bar. Sadly, I haven’t done one stinking thing with that page since 2022. Until today, that is, May 14, 2025, when I used it to create a Facebook ad introducing me and my books to Facebook users. I know that’s a small step in the big picture of social media and AI, but for me it’s a seismic shake. The magic of FB decides who will see the ad via algorithms that are in place for readers of historical and women’s fiction (she said as if she knew what she was talking about.) Watch for the ad and please message/email me if it pops up when you’re Facebook scrolling.

It appears that the “Leave a Reply” box following this post will get your message to me, but please remember NOT TO REPLY through the “Contact Karen” section because those messages shoot out into deep space and are never seen again. (An English teacher’s explanation of technology-gone-wrong.) You can also send a message through Facebook. It’s been my experience that in life few things work as they should – and that includes the “Contact Karen” box on my website.

Blessings to all.
